Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centres release details of their £28.5m equipment

Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centres (DER-IC) have issued their new equipment guide, free for industry to download. The guide showcases the full range of the £28.5m open-access state-of-the-art equipment available throughout their centres across the UK.

Launched at the AESIN conference, where DER-IC was proud to be a speaker and exhibitor, the document details the cutting-edge equipment and its locations across nine facilities over the UK’s regional centres.

The equipment covers all sectors from industry, transport and energy and is critical to help businesses achieve the UK’s net zero ambitions. The range was identified and secured to fill gaps within the UK’s current capability.

The range of equipment includes an electrical machines winding centre of excellence at the University of Warwick, a prototype facility for ceramic and copper elements and subassemblies for integrated modules at CSA Catapult in Newport, a power electronics assembly line in the North East and a propulsion and powertrain accelerator at PNDC in Scotland.
